Who am I?
the photographer
I'm Irma Husić. I live and work in Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I photograph people, the day they get married, the day they graduate, the ordinary afternoon they want to keep. I love catching memories through the lens: the look before the ceremony, a hand on a shoulder, the ten minutes nobody planned. Those are the pictures people come back to.

Istanbul is where I go to learn. I travel there often and I love the city, the Orient is my inspiration and the place where I learned to look: light on old stone, the market at seven in the morning, a street that changes character in ten steps. Sarajevo is home, and everything I bring back from there ends up in the way I photograph here.

Prices are in KM. The rate is fixed, 1 € = 1,95583 KM, so the euro figure is orientation only. Travel: up to 10 km included, 10–30 km +10 KM, 30–50 km +20 KM, over 50 km by agreement.
For orientation: prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina run very wide. Two hours of an event for 100 KM, five hours for 350 KM, twelve hours for 600 KM. In Sarajevo, three hours for 500 KM and six hours for 1.200 KM, and professional wedding packages go higher still. These sit below that, because the portfolio is still being built.

Your gallery arrives
In 2–5 days, depending on the editing. How many frames you get depends on the package. They arrive over Drive or WeTransfer, or on a USB stick if the files are large, and what you do with them is up to you.

I shoot on commission for places that need a season's worth of frames rather than one hero image: rooms, plates, hands at work, the street outside at the hour it looks best.

Before you send the form
How far do you travel?
Anywhere in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, Kakanj, Tuzla, Mostar, Zenica, Banja Luka, Bihać, Travnik. Travel up to 10 km from Sarajevo is included in the price. From 10 to 30 km it is 10 KM more, from 30 to 50 km it is 20 KM more, and past 50 km we agree it, or 0,50 KM per kilometre after the first 10 to 15. I don't take bookings outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.
How quickly do you answer?
The same day, personally and in writing: whether the date is free, what is included and what it costs.
How far ahead should we book?
It depends on what it is. A portrait, a session or an event: at least a week ahead, and two is safer. A wedding: a month ahead.
Do we have to pose?
No. I photograph what happens. The only direction you get is where to stand when the light is worth it, and you can ignore that if you would rather.
What if it rains?
We move it inside, or to another place you suggest. Rain is not a reason to cancel a shoot.
How do the graduation and finals packages work?
For a graduation or a masters: mini 40 KM, standard 60 KM, plus 80–100 KM, and each extra 30 minutes 20–30 KM. For a final-year or school-leaving session the price is per person: mini 30 KM, standard 50 KM, premium 70 KM. They are short, so several fit into one day.
When do we see the pictures?
In 2–5 days, depending on how much there is to edit and how large the files are. The gallery arrives over WeTransfer or Google Drive. If the files are too big to send, I can put them on a USB stick and post it to an address.
What if we have to cancel?
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the shoot, the fee is 20 KM, plus the travel fee if the booking included one.
